Twin Cities Community Agricultural Land Trust

Twin Cities Community Agricultural Land Trust

What do we do?

TCALT is a community-driven network that advocates for long term, affordable access to community governed land for growing food. Our board, collaborators, members and volunteers facilitate equitable relationships between urban farmers, community gardeners and organizers, local government, and planners. We believe that growing food promotes community health and wealth, and provides space for intergenerational healing from the ongoing trauma of systemic racism and poverty.

Working Groups

Our board, members and volunteers are organized in working groups around places and projects.

Facilitation

We meet with city and county government workers and elected officials to help build equitable collaborations with the communities they serve. We help facilitate the creation of projects and policies that ensure safe, supported and sustainable long term land use.

Education

We organize educational programming, walking tours and presentations with collaborators to bring people together to increase access to resources, build community connections, and share knowledge.

Fiscal Sponsorship

We act as a fiscal sponsor for collaborators like the Urban Farm & Garden Alliance in Saint Paul’s Rondo and Frogtown neighborhoods.
